this one has some spaces that i would like to fill.
and it's all just talk.  it's not going to happen.
sadly, we are not millionaires and probably will never be.
but i can still dream :)

with Christmas right around the corner, it gives me more motivation to check things out.

Thankful Thursdays Linky Party

It's been a week already!! Here's a new week for the Thankful Thursdays Linky Party

Rules are you can link up ANYTHING you are thankful for.
Whether it's a project you finished up, a recipe you made or your wonderful family...
I want it all!
One rule is to add the button to your post so others can join in too!

I appreciate everyone who has been playing along too!
These things are always hard to get rolling but I think it fun.
And it reminds me on a weekly basis of what I have been given.
And I have been given so much.
I am so very blessed and so very thankful!

Today, & this week, I am thankful that the time is now at hand! We pack up our trunk in 2 days and move to our new home! I am very excited for it to be here finally. My house is a chaotic mess right now but we are almost done packing everything and then we'll start cleaning...actually I should say that I am grateful for my husband who is cleaning the shower door right now! What a trooper!

I am also thankful for friends that I have met during this short time here here in the Tri-Cities. What a wonderful group of ladies! I will miss them! But luckily I will be only 2 hours away!

So this week, what are you thankful for?
Show me!

Link up anything that you want that shows graditude, whether it's a recipe that was awesome or you painted some furniture or you made a scrapbook page...anything!

I would love to see it.

Thankful Thursdays Linky Party #3

Today, I am thankful for my...birthday!
It's my birthday today, cool huh?!

I am a big fat 27 year old now. This is the first time that an age has made me feel old.
I definitely don't feel 27. I still feel like I just graduated high school!

Does anyone else feel that way too?!

So I am thankful that, with each year, I learn new things.
My life is not perfect.  I face problems.
And from these problems, I learn.
I keep growing through trials.

Through time and experience, I gain knowledge that I would have otherwise not have!
I hope I can continue to do this, each year, grow older and WISER, right?

So this week, what are you thankful for?
Show me!

Link up anything that you want that shows graditude, whether it's a recipe that was awesome or you painted some furniture or you made a scrapbook page...anything!

thrift store finds.

A few days ago, I went to the St. Vincent Store to look for some boots for my 2nd little child.
Although my attempts in finding boots were amiss, I did discover some wonderful items!

First this rug!  Look how cute!  I instantly fell in love with the colors.  It was only $19.  Not bad for a 4x6 rug, which will be perfect in our new living room that'll we will be living in in just 2 short weeks!
Next is this bad boy.  This wonderful trunk!
I have been looking for a large LARGE trunk to store blankets or whatever in it for the living room.
I am not liking throwing my blankets in a big purple bin people!
And I've spied this baby for months now...just sitting pretty waiting...waiting...waiting...
for me to snatch it!
It was only $49.  Which seriously, if you look at prices for trunks these days, like huge trunks like this with character, they are well over $100 or $200.
So to find this for this price, I was uber excited.
This too will look fabulous in my living room, maybe front and center or in the corner :)
Anyone else love finding deals as much as me?
Oh and i hit a local gently used children's store called Children's Attic today.  They were having a 50% off clothes sale and 20% off everything else off!  I mean, their prices are low to begin with.  So I got boots, 4 pairs of pajamas, 2 shirts, and a sweater for $28.
That's awesome.

Where do you like to go for good deals?

Demo Night

I just got this stack of Pallets today, courtesy of Lee Ann and Jenn. I had to stay home while they got to battle the cold and roads. When Lee Ann pulled up in my driveway, I was beyond excited.
I just couldn't believe that my dream was becoming a reality.
Call me a dork or whatever you want, but I have been wanting, for ever, to just teach and build things with other ladies. And when I saw this post on some 5-min. shelves, it was a step closer to making that dream a reality.
So a few weeks before we move away, I am hosting a Demo Night.
A group of gals will be over next week, Dec. 9th, to build adorable shelves with me.
I kind of just did it, just started looking for a bunch of pallets to work with. People are always giving pallets away for free so i started looking and posting. Jenn wrote me back, telling me her FIL had a big stack, I would just need a trunk to take them. Cue Lee Ann! She had the truck! Both were so willing to help me out. So with a week to go, I am so excited to get everything ready, make a Show-Off shelf and just have a good time with friends.

I'm starting to get sad again.
With every move, I get sad because I realize that a part of me has grown attached to this place,
to these people.
As hard as i tried not to, it just happened.
Everyone here is just amazing.
So I'm glad that i'll have one last HOORAH! before I move!
Plus, Dec. 9th is my birthday.
And this is exactly how I want to celebrate it!
Creating, Socializing, Teaching, & Loving it!
And don't forget to join the Thankful Thursdays Linky Party!

This week, I am thankful for new housing opportunities we found! We'll be moving in just a few weeks to a small town in WA. Rentals are really rare. I posted on CL asking if anyone has a 3+ home they were going to rent out because we needed the space! And a few days ago, I received an email from someone with a 4 bedroom home! It was nothing short of a miracle. And with that, I am thankful for my Heavenly Father who watches over my little family, who knows what we need. He is very aware of us and I know that He loves my family and I.
So come join the Thankful Thursdays Linky Party!
