we made the move to a new city and i am in love.
anyone ever been to cashmere, wa?

it's beautiful.
i couldn't be happier about living here.

right now, we are renting.
with each new house, comes a new layout and more or less space.
this one has some spaces that i would like to fill.
and it's all just talk.  it's not going to happen.
sadly, we are not millionaires and probably will never be.
but i can still dream :)

with Christmas right around the corner, it gives me more motivation to check things out.
and you guys are in luck.
Overstock is giving The Crafty Clique readers a 10% discount with your purchase!

and who isn't ever looking to get a new Digital Camera?
i really want one of these:

seriously, look at that kit...sigh....

Anyways, Overstock.com is a great website.  I've purchased many things from their website and I have never been disappointed.  Plus, it's only $2.95 for shipping ANYTHING.  That's what i'm talking about!

So who is ready to get 10% off Overstock products (excluding movies, books, and electronics)?

i should mention that t
his discount code never expires, however, it can only be used once per email address.
Another goodie code?

202234 gives you free shipping for electronics.

Otherwise, hope everyone is having a great break!
Merry Christmas!

***All the ideas and opinions expressed are my own. No monetary compensation was received for doing this post, however, I was provided with a discount code***

Thankful Thursdays Linky Party

It's been a week already!! Here's a new week for the Thankful Thursdays Linky Party

Rules are you can link up ANYTHING you are thankful for.
Whether it's a project you finished up, a recipe you made or your wonderful family...
I want it all!
One rule is to add the button to your post so others can join in too!

I appreciate everyone who has been playing along too!
These things are always hard to get rolling but I think it fun.
And it reminds me on a weekly basis of what I have been given.
And I have been given so much.
I am so very blessed and so very thankful!

Today, & this week, I am thankful that the time is now at hand! We pack up our trunk in 2 days and move to our new home! I am very excited for it to be here finally. My house is a chaotic mess right now but we are almost done packing everything and then we'll start cleaning...actually I should say that I am grateful for my husband who is cleaning the shower door right now! What a trooper!

I am also thankful for friends that I have met during this short time here here in the Tri-Cities. What a wonderful group of ladies! I will miss them! But luckily I will be only 2 hours away!

So this week, what are you thankful for?
Show me!

Link up anything that you want that shows graditude, whether it's a recipe that was awesome or you painted some furniture or you made a scrapbook page...anything!

I would love to see it.

Thankful Thursdays Linky Party #3

It's been a week already!! Here's a new week for the Thankful Thursdays Linky Party

I want it all!

I am so very blessed and so very thankful!

Today, I am thankful for my...birthday!
It's my birthday today, cool huh?!

I am a big fat 27 year old now. This is the first time that an age has made me feel old.
I definitely don't feel 27. I still feel like I just graduated high school!

Does anyone else feel that way too?!

So I am thankful that, with each year, I learn new things.
My life is not perfect.  I face problems.
And from these problems, I learn.
I keep growing through trials.

Through time and experience, I gain knowledge that I would have otherwise not have!
I hope I can continue to do this, each year, grow older and WISER, right?

So this week, what are you thankful for?
Show me!

Link up anything that you want that shows graditude, whether it's a recipe that was awesome or you painted some furniture or you made a scrapbook page...anything!

thrift store finds.

A few days ago, I went to the St. Vincent Store to look for some boots for my 2nd little child.
Although my attempts in finding boots were amiss, I did discover some wonderful items!

First this rug!  Look how cute!  I instantly fell in love with the colors.  It was only $19.  Not bad for a 4x6 rug, which will be perfect in our new living room that'll we will be living in in just 2 short weeks!
Next is this bad boy.  This wonderful trunk!
I have been looking for a large LARGE trunk to store blankets or whatever in it for the living room.
I am not liking throwing my blankets in a big purple bin people!
And I've spied this baby for months now...just sitting pretty waiting...waiting...waiting...
for me to snatch it!
It was only $49.  Which seriously, if you look at prices for trunks these days, like huge trunks like this with character, they are well over $100 or $200.
So to find this for this price, I was uber excited.
This too will look fabulous in my living room, maybe front and center or in the corner :)
Anyone else love finding deals as much as me?
Oh and i hit a local gently used children's store called Children's Attic today.  They were having a 50% off clothes sale and 20% off everything else off!  I mean, their prices are low to begin with.  So I got boots, 4 pairs of pajamas, 2 shirts, and a sweater for $28.
That's awesome.

Where do you like to go for good deals?

Demo Night

I just got this stack of Pallets today, courtesy of Lee Ann and Jenn. I had to stay home while they got to battle the cold and roads. When Lee Ann pulled up in my driveway, I was beyond excited.
I just couldn't believe that my dream was becoming a reality.
Call me a dork or whatever you want, but I have been wanting, for ever, to just teach and build things with other ladies. And when I saw this post on some 5-min. shelves, it was a step closer to making that dream a reality.
So a few weeks before we move away, I am hosting a Demo Night.
A group of gals will be over next week, Dec. 9th, to build adorable shelves with me.
I kind of just did it, just started looking for a bunch of pallets to work with. People are always giving pallets away for free so i started looking and posting. Jenn wrote me back, telling me her FIL had a big stack, I would just need a trunk to take them. Cue Lee Ann! She had the truck! Both were so willing to help me out. So with a week to go, I am so excited to get everything ready, make a Show-Off shelf and just have a good time with friends.

I'm starting to get sad again.
With every move, I get sad because I realize that a part of me has grown attached to this place,
to these people.
As hard as i tried not to, it just happened.
Everyone here is just amazing.
So I'm glad that i'll have one last HOORAH! before I move!
Plus, Dec. 9th is my birthday.
And this is exactly how I want to celebrate it!
Creating, Socializing, Teaching, & Loving it!
And don't forget to join the Thankful Thursdays Linky Party!

This week, I am thankful for new housing opportunities we found! We'll be moving in just a few weeks to a small town in WA. Rentals are really rare. I posted on CL asking if anyone has a 3+ home they were going to rent out because we needed the space! And a few days ago, I received an email from someone with a 4 bedroom home! It was nothing short of a miracle. And with that, I am thankful for my Heavenly Father who watches over my little family, who knows what we need. He is very aware of us and I know that He loves my family and I.
So come join the Thankful Thursdays Linky Party!

Demo Night!

I think it's safe to say that everyone knows who Ana White is.
It's also safe to say that she rocks my world.
I love what she does & how she inspires!
I want to make everything on her site.
And when she posted this earlier this year, I was obsessed!

Look how awesome they are for so so simple!
Well I am taking it into my own hands.
And I want you to be there with me!

I will be doing a Demo Night!
We are going to make these shelves.
December 9th @ 7:30
which, coincidentally, is my birthday.  So come play with me!

So anyone in the Tri-Cities, WA area who would like to join, please come!
We'll be doing a Tool School 101, Safety measures & Having fun ;)

Anyone interested, email me and i'll give some more information about it

*** we are strictly following Ana White's design and give her full credit.  You can learn how to too, if you can't come to the Demo Night.  Go HERE to her website for instructions.***

a little sneak peek...

a big thanks again to all of you who helped me with my dilhema a few days ago.

My family photo shoot went perfectly.
Your help and guidance was exactly what I needed to hear.
Sometimes, I lack the confidence in myself and the ideas that I come up with.
I really need to stop being such a chicken and just believe in myself!
Yet, what you guys said supported what I was thinking, so thank you!

And Lee Ann was such a trooper for doing them, in the early morn, after the first snow of the season fell the night before. She was such a treat to work with.
From what i've seen, they turned out better than I could have imagined.

So with out further adieu, here's a sneak peek of my little family.

picture frame to magnet board redo.

This to....

 THIS!

I have been wanting an big magnet board for years.  But am too cheap to buy a huge expensive one.  So I just waited....
I found this in August for $3.  i was so excited because I knew this has potential to be "the one".

So after some research on some options for it to become magnetized, I got small metal sheets from Lowes and hot glued them to the picture...
which was just a big poster, not an original ;)
I put it in place but i didn't like that it was so "metal"

I grabbed some old sheet music that I found at a local antique store...
And I modge podged it on the metal.
I did 1 layer to cover it all and then I ripped the sheets into 3's and then sparatically modge podged them on top of that.
 And there you go!
I love love LOVE how it turned out.  Plus, I love the vintage frame with it's green velvet.

My son likes it too ;)

It is now in it's spot above the dresser and I love it!

So here's what I got so far....

Seriously, you guys are amazing and thank you so much for giving me awesome ideas...
So here's what I got so far...

Now all these are courtesy of Target, except Luke's sweater...TJ Maxx :)

Joe's pretty much self-explainatory.  I chose the top sweater because the colors were closer to the rest of the purples in our outfits.  The other sweater's colors were not true to it's picture.  It was more of a wine color. It didn't go at all.  Oh well, eh?

Emma will be sporing the grey sweater dress with fun grey tights with diamonds and hearts and black ruffle boots.  And a black headband

Kate will wear that adorable purple cardigan, purple plaid skirt, sparkly black tights and grey flats.
Luke will sport the diamond grey sweater, over a long sleeve grey collared shirt with grey corduroy pants, with black boots.  And a black headband.

Me?
Purple Cardigan, black ruffly shirt, and grey pencil skirt...which one though?
With those adorable ruffle heels.  I will sport some bling and a headband of some sort.
So should I wear tights?  Black tights?  Grey tights?
 What do you think?!

Seriously all your comments helped me so much in getting a vision for these pictures.
I can't wait to show you the final result!

Alright, you fashion divas...HELP!

I need your help.
Family pictures are this monday, spur of the moment, for my husband's new job.
Yep, that's the big news, new job!  New place to live!
Lots of fun and exciting things...which one of them is new pictures....
so here's what I got so far....

And just ignore my weak photoshop skills...this is my first time doing this and i'm using the free trial...

So your thoughts?
Which sweater should my husband wear?  He'll be wearing a black shirt and pants with them
What bout my girls?
Are those colorful skirts too much?
BUT
most importantly...WHAT DO I WEAR?
would love your IMPUT!

PS the pics are on Monday...yikes...
